I am considering painting the linoleum in my bathroom as it is looking pretty bad (I live in an apartment. I can't get the owner to remove it and install new linoleum).

Painting the linoleum sounds like a project I could hand. I am not sure, however, what kind of paint to use. The article says that using an oil-based primer give your paint a good base. Should I use an oil-based paint as well or can I switch to a water-based paint.
